Frequently Asked Questions

Hymns Accompaniment FAQ

Q: Should I choose high or low keys?

A: The high keys are most common in hymnals for congregational singing. The low keys can be more comfortable for our seniors as it can be difficult for them to sing in those typical high registers.  But don't worry. Should you order the wrong range, just let us know and we'll replace it with the right range at no extra charge.

Q: How many verses does each hymn have?

A: It varies, but most have four verses. Each of our product descriptions show the titles, keys and number of verses.

Q: Can I listen to audio samples before buying?

A: Absolutely.  Each individual item description lists the titles, keys, number of verses and play-buttons that look like this: playsample.png. Click those play buttons in the item descriptions. Make sure your sound is turned on.

Q: Can I use these recordings for a congregation in a church service?

A: Yes. When a song is played, you'll hear the introduction followed by the verses of the hymn.  The recording is specifically accompaniment to sing along to.

Q: Are these hymns compatible with our hymnal?

A: We believe so. We have yet to have a customer tell us that they are not.  Our hymns were not taken from a specific denominational hymnal, but are the same songs, arrangements in keys found in most hymnals including Baptist, Celebration and many others. There may be some slight differences, but your church should be able to sing your hymnal hymns using our accompaniment.

Q: Can I download the MP3 files right to my iPad/iPhone?

A: Our download files are .zip files, which is a Windows PC compressed file. Apple devices don't recognize .zip so you won't be able to open/extract them without an app such as iZip or Goodreader. Those are free apps you can download from the Apple store and then you can download and extract them to access the MP3 files on your iPad/iPhone.

Q:  Is your checkout system secure?

A:  Yes. We use tightest protocols in our checkout and payment processing.  We've never had a breach or a report of a fraudulent charge as a result of having purchased on our site.

Q:  What about Copyrights and Permissions? Can I use these while streaming services?

A:  There are 13 hymns in our collection that are under a publisher's copyright which should not be used for streaming: Because He Lives, The Family of God, Bind Us Together, Burdens Are Lifted at Calvary, By the Sea of Crystal, Children of the Heavenly Father, His Name is Wonderful, I Just Keep Trusting My Lord, O How He Loves You and Me, Surely Goodness and Mercy, Victory In Jesus, I'll Fly Away, He Lives. All the other hymns are public domain. We subscribe to a song licensing service which allows us to record and sell the 13.  We pay a per-copy sold fee to the publishers for a mechanical license.  Our recordings themselves are also covered under copyright laws. Making copies of our recordings for purposes outside your immediate ministry is prohibited. It is up to your ministry to keep your CCLI licenses updated.
